With so much rain this year making the trails soaked, I am forced to live vicariously through the images of singletrack instead of just riding it.

Share the road.
I always really appreciate it when drivers pull over to let cyclists ride by- courtesy goes far and is not forgotten.

Desire.
Pure desire manifested in carbon- I am sure most of the devout bike lovers have seen pictures of this beauty but I keep coming back to it, as it one of the few carbon bikes I have a true affinity for.
Practical? No. Beautiful? Yes.

New, but old.
"In the winter of 1986, while living and working in my home state of Florida, I was contacted by a friend and former co-worker about a possible job opportunity at Serotta Bicycles. I was very excited about this prospect because it was the best way to pursue frame building as my full time career.
In February of 1987 I moved my family to Saratoga Springs, NY and worked at Serotta until December, 2008. After 21+ years at Serotta it was time to once again to build fine frames under my own name."
For some reason this story reminded me of Dario Pegoretti and his private label bike building business in the early 90's where he was making frames for other companies- most notably Pinarello.

How do you clean that thing?
Burke Swindlehurst aboard a bike that looks more mueseum piece than race machine- The Iso Truss bike garned much attention a few years ago but this is the first time I have ever seen one actually raced. Pricey for sure but that does seem to stop people from dropping dough on bikes, but seriously how do you clean one of these?
Nice fred stem on that machine Burke.

The scramble.
Busier than ever these days- not much time for much these days. Scrambling just to keep my head above water. Images will have to do for awhile.

Fat tires.
"In general, I think everybody should be riding wider tyres all the time but especially on a race like this weekend or Flanders, a Pavé is really overkill. So I think the 25mm Evo CX is really the way to go."
"We don't run these crazy high pressures ever because it actually increases rolling resistance."
-Gerard Vroomen.
Interesting to note that one of the most analytical and advanced bike developers in the world thoughts on tire pressure and what makes a fast bike. Full story at cyclingnews.com.
