T.
He started his racing career in Chuck Taylors winning expert class at Mt Snow in 1994 (or 1995...dont remember it was a long time ago), so it only makes sense that Floyd is finishing out his career in a tee- shirt.

Intense Proto: Spider 229.

Currently my steed of choice is the first iteration of the Intense 29er- a great bike for general xc riding. This was my introduction to 29ers and I have to admit there is something to them. Maybe not the holy grail, but certainly there is something to them. I have been really happy with it and I had no plans to sell it- it has been great even though I notice some of the shortcomings.
But ever since I saw the newly un-released 229 Intense prototype frame I have started to save my pennies.

"The optimal lacing pattern for a 32 hole wheel is 3 cross. To rule of thumb for how many cross to select is to take the hole count number and divide by nine. As these wheels will be used in competition, I selected aluminum nipples throughout. Why? As such you won't tear the rim eyelet out should you put your wheel into someone else's bike. Better to shear a nipple than the rim!"
